You know when there’s something you should do to help your future self out, but you just can’t get motivated to do it? That’s been me with meal planning lately. Now I’m back on track and sharing my April Meal Plan!

I KNOW I do a better job feeding my family and grocery shopping when I’ve got a meal plan in place. I KNOW I won’t sit down weekly to create a meal plan. Monthly meal plans work well for me — so why in the world do I resist?
Meal Planning Basics
If you’re new to the concept of monthly meal planning or it sounds overwhelming, I promise it’s not. It’s actually so much LESS time and effort once you’re in the right mindset.
Here are some resources to help you get started:

And if you’d like an easy reference book and planning pages so you don’t have to check back here every month to remember how it all works, here’s an ebook:

April Meal Planning Inspiration
April is just days away and with it comes spring sports (tennis, lacrosse, and flag football in this house) and warm weather (which means I don’t want to spend a lot of time over the stove) and the promise of summer.
As you’ll see below, there are quite a few recipes from What Molly Made, a recipe blog. Years ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS, which is a hormone disorder. Over the past 10 years I’ve been on medicine to control it, but I’d like to stop.
I’ve also been doing research on controlling PCOS through diet and nutrition. Many of April’s meals come from a blog post called 50 PCOS Recipes and this month, I’m giving a few a shot. I hope they’re as yummy as they seem!
Having a meal plan in place is a life saver, so here’s what I’m cooking.
